NADIA PERROTTA

In 1996, I began my career as a lawyer working for Shaffer & Associates, a boutique law firm in Westmount, Quebec, specializing primarily in litigation matters within the automotive industry.  After several years at the firm and gaining invaluable legal expertise, I decided to supplement my work experience by completing Executive Master’s degree in Business Administration at the John Molson School of Business, Concordia University.

In 2005, after having completed my graduate degree, I joined the aerospace division of Bombardier as a Senior Contracts Negotiator. During this time, I was involved in numerous Bombardier manufactured wide body business aircraft transactions, from aircraft proposals to purchase agreement execution, having negotiated directly with customers, attorneys and aircraft consultants worldwide.  In said role, I also managed contractual aspects of the manufacture and completion of aircraft until delivery, which included structuring complex financing arrangements.

In 2008, I was appointed as Legal Counsel and worked in said capacity both under the Bombardier Aerospace and Bombardier Transportation divisions of Bombardier until my appointment as Senior Legal Counsel with Bombardier Aerospace in 2010.

In 2014, I was appointed as Director, Legal Services supporting Bombardier Business Aircraft, which role later evolved to Director, Legal Services, Negotiation Support and Aircraft Financing.  I was given the opportunity to mentor and lead a team of legal professionals supporting all facets of very complex business aircraft initiatives.  At such time, and until my departure, I was also entrusted with the responsibility to manage the Sales Representative policies governing the worldwide sales representatives and agents appointed by Bombardier Business Aircraft.

In 2015, following corporate initiatives to place key legal talent into operational positions, my role progressed to Director, Contracts, Sales Transactions, for Bombardier Business Aircraft.  Thereafter, in early 2016, I was promoted to Senior Director, Contracts, New and Pre-Owned Aircraft, for Bombardier Business Aircraft.  During this mandate, I led a team of twenty employees based in Canada and the United States.  As the leader of the sales transaction team, I was accountable to facilitate and negotiate new aircraft sales.  With the pre-owned aircraft operations team, I was accountable to efficiently process incoming trade-in aircraft and to oversee all aspects of the onward sale of these trade-in aircraft to third party buyers in order to minimize inventory levels for the company.  Throughout my career at Bombardier, I was involved in many strategic transactions and played a key role in their successful conclusion, including several multi-aircraft purchases, requests for proposals for the sale of rolling stock within North America and a myriad of complex marketing and sponsorship agreements.

In August 2016, after more than eleven years working in various key executive roles within Bombardier, I elected to join forces with my colleague, Frederic Giard, to undertake another ambitious challenge in my career thus far and accomplish a longtime personal goal: to become an entrepreneur. Together, we incorporated Jetorizon Consulting Inc., a boutique consultancy firm in the aviation industry.

I am a graduate of the University of Sherbrooke (Civil Law degree - 1995), was called to the Quebec Bar in 1996 and hold an EMBA (2003) from Concordia University.

When I am not occupied with an aircraft transaction, I spend my free time with my husband and two young children, Sofia and James.  As a family, we enjoy skiing and traveling to various parts of the world to learn different cultures.  I also speak English, French and Italian.
